Modern workplace is characterized by flexibility, productivity, and collaboration. However, even today, several cases of sexual harassment, gender equality, racism, and other workplace grievances exist. As a business and management researcher, quantitative research will help you understand the extent of these occurrences. However, a qualitative approach is necessary to go beyond the numbers and understand the way these occurrences manifest and how they can be effectively tackled. Fortunately, business and management research has become increasingly open to qualitative research and interviews recently. However, being a discipline so far dominated by quantitative methods, business research studies involving qualitative research often lack a clear structure. The data collection and analysis are often fuzzy and not substantiated properly. Using the murder mystery game “Her Story,” this case introduces “In Vivo” and “Pattern” coding in qualitative data analysis to contemplate their suitability for exploring the topic of sexual harassment in the modern workplace, focusing on news about allegations at Google. Since the most popular qualitative data source for workplace grievance studies is interviews, our case study will focus on those.

Abstract
Since the most popular qualitative data source for workplace grievance studies is interviews, our case study will focus on those.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
