Abstract: | After the 9/11 a growing tension shapes the relation between the West and the Islamic country. War on terrorism has imposed on Media a stronger attention to facts and events connected to the wars in Afghanistan, Iraq and Palestine. Any violent act of disobedience is judged under the label of terrorism. Such an approach has widened the gap of mutual comprehension between the Western culture and the Islamic one. The Media are playing a major role in paving the way to a clash of civilizations. Images of violence and death prevail on the screen of the satellite televisions both in Europe and in Middle East.
