Abstract
Between the 1950s and 1970s the Spanish Communist Party realised a renewal of its political discourse, moving away from communist orthodoxy to the acceptance of Western democratic values. This article analyses the achievements and limits of this process of transformation, focusing on how the new image of the party legitimised it as a key actor during the later stages of francoism and the transition to democracy.File in questo prodotto:
