The International Panel for Climate Change (IPCC) has recently envisioned a number of detrimental environmental effects and challenges that will emerge with the global warming in excess of the 1.5oC limit set by the Paris Agreement. The Arctic was mentioned as a particularly vulnerable region on the Earth with rapid and amplified warming affecting all components of the cryosphere and biosphere. This chapter characterizes even larger warm temperature anomalies and corresponding environmental changes in the urban Arctic.

Abstract
The International Panel for Climate Change (IPCC) has recently envisioned a number of detrimental environmental effects and challenges that will emerge with the global warming in excess of the 1.5oC limit set by the Paris Agreement. The Arctic was mentioned as a particularly vulnerable region on the Earth with rapid and amplified warming affecting all components of the cryosphere and biosphere. This chapter characterizes even larger warm temperature anomalies and corresponding environmental changes in the urban Arctic.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
