I “lasciti” della Presidenza Grochi, settant’anni dopo: attuazione, evoluzione e innovazione della Costituzione repubblicana

The term in which Giovanni Gronchi served as President of the Republic (1955-1962) is particularly important in the history of Italian Republic and in the evolution of the literature on the head of state. Seventy years after the start of his term, this article looks back at the most significant aspects of his presidency in terms of its contribution to constitutional implementation, the definition of a proactive presidential role (in the constitutional system and in foreign policy) and innovation in practice, particularly in relation to the process of forming a government and the use of public statements.
