The Poetics of Marām al-Maṣrī

The Siryan poet Maram al-Maṣri, is a versatile author and courageous innovator in modern arabic poetry. The paper presents a study of the poetic work of one of an interesting author in the panorama of contemporary Arabic poetry. Maram al-Maṣri migrated many decades ago In France where she actually lives. A woman of great courage who deals with the issues of women freedom. Author of several poetic collections, she devoted much of her commitment to the dissemination of her ideas on the emancipation of women. Recently, she has been at the forefront of the protests against the civil war in her country. Her poetics show great ability in presenting a new reading of classical themes using a language particularly simple and strongly rhythmic.
