Biotechnology as reproduction technique has succeeded in showing motherhood as a choice and not a biological necessity, as traditionally determined by the patriarchal ideology. In the field of sexual and reproductive rights one of the most controversial issues is the surrogacy, "surrogates", where the arguments are based on the principle of freedom and the alleged emancipation of women, which can choose between different modes of exercising motherhood, and the principle of social equality, which highlights the inequality of the parties, where the poorest women give up their uterus to women with greater resources. Abstract
It is also a controversial item the gender identity and sexual rights of LGBT. Technology and its impact on reproduction have decisive implications for present and future generations. When our actions affect people, even they are not in a reciprocal relationship with us, a new reflection on the principle of responsibility is necessary.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
