The recent signing of the nuclear agreements between Iran and the United States has polarised international opinion between those who believe these agreements will help guarantee peace in the Middle East and the opponents who think that they will only help rekindle the conflict with the Western world. Alessandro Orsini studies the basic assumptions inspiring the stance of both the supporters and the detractors of the agreements, concluding that international politics is a game in which each position depends not only on their own ideas but on what they believe the other is going to do.
