They’re expected to generate shareholder value by dealing successfully with a series of significant challenges ranging from political to economic uncertainties, from digitalization to reverse globalization, and from excessive short-termism to the need to restore greater levels of trust between the business and its key stakeholders. This means business organizations and their leaders are increasingly asked to be a force for good in society by aligning their corporate purpose to sustainable strategy and business models.
